Eliminate Certain Medicines Before
Do not take medications such as Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before the procedure.
No Alcohol or Caffeine
Do not drink any alcohol or caffeine on the day of the procedure because they make you hypersensitive, bleed more, and can cause additional swelling/oozing at the procedure site.
On your period? Maybe Reconsider
Please note that your menstrual cycle causes you to be more sensitive at the procedure site. So if you already have low pain tolerance, consider scheduling the appointment for a time when you are not on your cycle.
No workouts the day of
Please do not work out the day of the procedure as the body heat will expands the pores.
Keep Your Brows Dry
For the first 2 days, avoid getting your brows wet. Keep showers short and cool, rather than long, hot and steamy. Use the brow shield each time you shower - provided in after-care kit. If accidentally wetted, pat the brows dry with clean paper towel, but be extra cautious not to (do not use a used body towel to avoid infection).
No Touching Please
Do not rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally fall off. Picking can cause infection, scarring, and extreme loss of pigment. Definitely don't let anyone else touch your brows either.
No Extreme Sun Exposure
Avoid direct sun exposure to the brows for extended periods of time such as sunbathing or tanning for 3-4 weeks after your initial procedure. If you plan on being in the sun, be sure to wear a hat and the brim does not touch your brows.
No Heavy Sweating
Avoid heavy activities that cause heavy sweating for the first 7 days after the procedure.
No Facial Cosmetic Procedures
No facials, Botox, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks after the procedure.
